Sun Salutation Techniques
Sun Salutation (Surya Namaskar) tutorial. (Video is twice normal speed, and several frames are frozen to highlight postures.) Here are three common versions of the Sun Salutation, broadly, a string of movements tied closely to the flow of your breath. These are a concise, whole-body workout that offer forward bends, backbends, hip openers, and arm support postures, delivering overall strengthening and opening of the body. The sun salutations can be a stand-alone yogasana practice, or it can be the warm-up to your longer practice. Try a few of the variations highlighted here when you are ready. See you in class, and always thank you for helping me keep a place where we can come together to practice yoga in our community. And if you haven't yet, please bring your light and make ours brighter.
