Dipping our toe into the vast wealth of yoga aside from the exercises, I’ll begin to share with you some personal observances that keep our practice vibrant. This week, NON-HARMING….
In practicing non-harming, we maintain a modest, joyful state of mind which is always looking for ways to protect others from harm. These are the small actions, words, and thoughts we do constantly over a lifetime, like picking up a piece of paper on the floor that someone may slip on! Or going out of our way to say something encouraging to someone who seems tense, knowing this emotion will hurt them physically if they keep it up. These conscious choices are a very powerful and enjoyable way to plant good seeds in our mind that can take us to the highest goals of life.
